Our employment partner is seeking a Project Manager for their client in Brockville, Ontario. 

The client is a leading provider of modular water, wastewater and groundwater treatment solutions to the resource, power generation, industrial, private development and municipal markets. Their full suite of patented technologies and capabilities include design, engineering and manufacturing in their own facilities, located in Brockville. They maintain strict control over the high quality and on-time delivery of their systems.

Summary of Position

The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects, including;

· Overseeing all aspects of project scheduling water treatment equipment assembly, in house manufacturing and assembly, customer liaison, contract administration and liaison with other departments, including engineering and sales.

· Setting deadlines, coordinating projects with fabricators and manufacturing, expediting vendors, and monitoring/summarizing progress of projects.

· Preparing reports for upper management regarding status of projects and monthly shipment forecasts.

· Being solely responsible for meeting on-time shipment metrics.

· Performing standard project management and purchasing concepts, practices, and procedures.

· Carrying out a variety of tasks where a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

· Reporting to the Manager of Project Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Oversee the Project Management of significant or complex customer orders/projects.

· Read, understand and manage customer specifications, contracts and commercial terms and conditions.

· Upon project award, collect and organize all information related to project including proposal files, order entry information and e-mails.

· Set up logistics for pickup and shipment of major equipment projects.

· Project manage major customer orders/projects from point of order award through equipment installation/start-up and customer remittance.

· Mobilize engineering and support personnel as needed.

· Coordinate activities with sub-vendors.

· Provide a single point of contact for clients after receipt of project order.

· Update and distribute status reports for each active project being managed by Project Management.

· Negotiate and act as buyer for major equipment.

· Some overnight travel is required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Experience working within industrial markets including oil/gas, pulp & paper, chemical, etc. 
  • An understanding and knowledge of water treatment and general boiler room equipment is a plus. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Outlook, Excel and MS Projects is required. 
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings provided by engineering group.
